November 7: Chronicles 4 today by Br. Kari
Theme: Show some gratitude.
Text: 1 Timothy 4:3 (NLT)
They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth.
Reflection:
One of the impacts of the Russian war on Ukraine is that food prices around the world have risen. News revealed that some African presidents had to negotiate with Russia not to end the war but to allow Ukrainian grain to be sent to Africa because the war was impacting food prices around the world, especially in the less developed world.
From today’s text, we learn that food is meant to be eaten with thanksgiving. This is an acknowledgment of God’s provision and the portrayal of a grateful heart, qualities that make God rejoice. While many of those who live in abundance may not understand the impact of the lack of food, those who live under the poverty line understand better reasons to be grateful.
Do you realize many do not have food to eat or have food but cannot eat? Instead of grumbling about the little you have or not being able to eat what you want, show some gratitude. Let God know that you are grateful for all He has made available for you whether too much or too little. Your gratitude is the key to abundance.
Prayer:
Father forgive my ungratefulness and help me look at what you have done rather than what you have not yet done. Amen
See you at the top!
