Favor follows workers

Favor follows workers

November 2: Chronicles 4 today by Br. Kari

Theme: Favor follows workers.

Text: Matthew 20:3 (NLT)

“At nine o’clock in the morning he was passing through the marketplace and saw some people standing around doing nothing.

Reflection:

Bishop Oyedepo said, “ God does not reward supervisors, He rewards workers”. This is one truth that many believers need to learn. God does not reward those who stay in the vineyard as observers and supervisors. He rewards those who are actually working and not spectators or commentators.
Today’s reading shows us one of the instances when the master went out to hire workers. In reading the whole text, we realize that the master went out at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to recruit workers. This teaches us the master is always looking for workers and therefore irrespective of the time of day, he will recruit workers into the harvest field because “the field is white and the harvesters are few”. Unfortunately, many of his so-called followers are spectators in the harvest field instead of workers.
If God is always recruiting workers, the question is “Are you a worker?” Have you been deceived it’s too late to join the workforce because you are too old, uneducated, unfit or more? The master is always looking for workers and will pay everyone who signs up to work their full dues irrespective of the time. It is not too late to join the work so stop standing around when there is work to do. God’s Favour follows His workers, not spectators.

Prayer:

Here I am O Lord, i don’t want to be a spectator, i reject idleness., use me for Your glory in the name of Jesus. Amen
