Theme: You don’t know it all!
Text: 1 John 5:4 (NLT)
For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
Reflection:
Our faith is intended to help us rise above the darkness of this world. We are meant to conquer the evils of this life and live beyond the circumstances that others are drowning in. We should not remain defeated by evil like people who do not have a relationship with Christ. Unfortunately, many unbelievers have learned to conquer the world through their means, while believers are still struggling to cope.
Today’s reading serves as a reminder that every child of God has been designed to overcome the challenges of this world and achieve victory through faith in Christ Jesus. Faith gives us access to God’s voice through the Holy Spirit, the promises of Scripture, the guidance of fellow believers, and many other resources. Every believer can walk in victory rather than defeat when they choose to activate their faith.
Are you living as a victor or a victim in this world? Is your faith helping you to overcome life’s challenges, or are you just being religious? Instead of wallowing in defeat, rise and put the tools that God has made available to work so that you can be a true winner. You are designed to live victorious, and God has provided all you need to achieve this.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit open my eyes to see all that you have made available for me to be a winner in today’s battles. Give me a testimony of victory today as I begin to wage war in the battles of life today in the name of Jesus. Amen
